Story of Representative ~how it started

Hello! My name is Mayumi Komuro, and I am a licensed public psychologist in Japan. I am a certified play therapist by APAC and a member of PTI.
Since my early years, I have lived, studied, and worked in Germany, the U.S., and Singapore. As much as I enjoyed the fun and excitement, I also faced the downsides of living abroad, such as language barriers, cultural differences, homesickness, and loneliness. Unfortunately, it was not easy for foreigners to reach out to professionals and receive psychological support at that time.
Moving can cause both positive and negative stress, especially for children who accompany their parents. They often experience difficulties adapting to new lifestyles, and this stress can sometimes trigger behavioral, emotional, or communication problems.
I started Tokyo Play Therapy Room hoping to lend a hand to children who are undergoing similar difficulties.
